Welcome, Callie!
After almost 10 years, my beloved Jeep has been retired. I love my girl too much to wait until she finally let me down. Now, she sits in my driveway, awaiting her "transplants" later this summer. Then become Kar's first car.
Her replacement is a sassy new Dodge. Not the mean Magnum, which caught my eye a few years ago. The Chrysler 300 was a bit too sleek for me, but was a viable option.
Nope, I have to admit, I must have a thing for hatchbacks. My first color choice was the orange, which matched my first car. Unfortunately, the only dealership in the area with it is one I refuse to give any biz. So, I picked another color (no black, white, gray or red!)
Congrats to me, I financed all by myself. Test drove her and called work for the loan paperwork to be started, much to the chagrin of the dealership, who desperately wanted me to lease or finance through them. There was a "mere $2 difference btwn ownership and lease payments." Seriously, the line used was, "In 3 years, you can just get a new car."
Yep, and I'll have no collateral. And be sucked right back into a car payment.
Notta chance! I had the check in hand and picked "Callie" up an hour later. I plan to love Callie and not be counting the months til she can be replaced.
Vegas trip next week!
