Prom night
It is so much fun to see Kar getting all dressed up for her "formals."
She cleans up so pretty!
It's hard to believe that next year will be her last in high school. Kar is growing up so quickly, but still my little girl. Even is she is as tall (or short, however you look at it) as me!
I remember those fun-filled days of dress shopping. I remember the euphoria of finding the perfect gown at Lakeside Mall.
There was, of course, the time my mom cut my hair WAY TOO SHORT just 2 weeks before my junior prom. But I lived.
Dates weren't a problem. I remember for my junior homecoming, my already-graduated boyfriend didn't feel the need to take me to the dance. He did though. Looking back, I wish I had ditched him and gone with any one of the other 5 guys who made it known they'd happily escort me!
Instead, I went with the icky, freaky geek. Because he was "older"! Yep, I had my priorities.
Kar has dated some nice boys. Definitely NOT as nice as what I want for her, but whatever. That's a mother's perogative.
